LAWRENCEBURG – New Lawrenceburg High School boys varsity basketball coach John Blackwell announced the Tigers' season opener now will be Friday, Nov. 30, against defending EIAC champion Greensburg.

Originally slated for this Saturday, Nov. 24, at Franklin County, the opener has been pushed back due to the Class 2A regional playoff run by the Tigers' football team (11-2).

Lawrenceburg's first conference game against Franklin County has been moved to Wednesday night, Dec. 12, at Brookville. Reserve tipoff will be at 6 p.m., with varsity following, as usual.

Another schedule change announced by Coach Blackwell has the LHS varsity moving its Jan. 12 game at North Decatur to Saturday, Dec. 29, at New Castle's Chrysler High School Fieldhouse, with a capacity of 9,325. The varsity-only tipoff will be at 6 p.m.

“We are excited for our kids and program to play in that outstanding facility, the largest high school gym in the United States,” Blackwell said.

Lawrenceburg reserves will play the Chargers at North Decatur Jan. 12 at 10 a.m.
