Unlike Greendale, the City of Aurora had not received a subpoena as of late last week, said city manager/attorney Jeff Stratman.
The only money Aurora has been granted by Lawrenceburg is the $4.5 million for a sewer force main to be built between Aurora and the wastewater treatment plant at Lawrenceburg, he said.
Three businesses located in Aurora have received Lawrenceburg Economic Development Fund grants, however: Linkmeyer Development, Dearborn Country Club, and The Great Crescent Brewery, said Stratman.
“I told Donnie (Hastings, Aurora mayor,) we don’t have anything to hide,” said Stratman.
The Greendale subpoena is believed to be part of an ongoing investigation by the FBI into Lawrenceburg city government.
