|Five area grads get Oxbow scholarships|

Three Dearborn County teens are among the five receiving scholarships from Oxbow, Inc., a non-profit land conservancy protecting the Oxbow area in the river bottoms near Greendale.
Winners of the 2013 Art and Ginny Wiseman (Witte) scholarships were selected by their high schools' science and guidance departments, based on criteria provided by Oxbow, Inc., said Oxbow President Jon Seymour. The winners, deserving senior scholars headed for college level training/education in a subject related to nature, each received a $500 check toward their higher education.
“Oxbow is extremely proud to support advanced learning for these fine young women and men,” said Seymour. He provided some information about each new graduate:
