LAWRENCEBURG – Opening its bid for a 12th consecutive winning season – and 10th 20-match winner in 12 years under coach Staci Knigga – Lawrenceburg volleyball moved to 2-0 Tuesday night.
Lady Tigers, 26-9 third-place EIAC finisher and Class 3A sectional runner-up a year ago, won 3-0 at Greensburg Tuesday (25-20, 25-6, 25-14) to put both their overall mark and Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference tallies at 2-0.
Middle hitters Sophie Sandford and Amber Rox posted nine spike kills each, with Riley Brunner adding six. Junior Kathryn Rennekamp got the ball to the frontliners with 19 sets.
