A Greendale man is facing a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor, after Lawrenceburg School Resource Officer Brian Potts received information at about 9:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, that a person was on his way to Lawrenceburg High School to cause a disturbance.

Potts had a description of the man who was alleged to have been going to the school. Nathan J. McDonald, 29, of Nowlin Avenue, Greendale, was found on school property, and when Potts attempted to talk with McDonald about his intended activities, McDonald fled.

Pott gave chase on foot, and apprehended McDonald.

Lawrenceburg Police said McDonald did not have access to any students on the school campus nor threaten any students at the school.

Assisting were officers with Lawrenceburg Police, Greendale Police and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s department.
