The cause of fire in a pole barn on Pribble Road, Lawrenceburg, in the wee hours of the morning Friday, Nov. 15, remains under investigation.

Lawrenceburg Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Myers said the department was dispatched at about 2:25 a.m.

Witnesses nearby reported hearing a boom, similar to an explosion, then called 911.

When the department arrived they found the 30-foot by 80-foot garage on fire, said Myers.

Assisting at the scene were Greendale, Aurora, Miller-York, Manchester and Bright fire departments, along with the Aurora Fire Rehab, Lawrenceburg life squad, Lawrenceburg police and Lawrenceburg utilities.

Mike Oelker is the property owner according to Dearborn County Assessor records.

Firefighters were on the scene until after 6 a.m.
