|Port authority to invite county, Greendale|

Concerned that proposed legislation could affect local port authorities, members of the Southeast Indiana Port Authority voted to invite Greendale and Dearborn County to join their authority as soon as possible.
The goal is to get the two entities “on board” before a proposed bill could take effect, July 1, should it be passed in this legislative session, members agreed at their Friday, Jan. 17, meeting.The bill “is being proposed by a state agency that's supported by the governor,” said Aurora City Attorney Jeff Stratman, who also is attorney for the SIPA.
