AURORA – Sophomore Ellen Barrett went 3-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI in South Dearborn's 9-3 conference softball victory over Franklin County Wednesday.

Returning to action after a six-day layoff, coach Pat Murphy's Lady Knights improved their season mark to 8-4 and Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference ledger to 2-1.

Rapping out 11 hits - including two each from Morgan Wolfer (four steals), Chloe Bugni and Amber Brindley – SD struck for five runs in the home half of the first inning Wednesday and never looked back.
