GREENSBURG – East Central baseball locked up in a slugfest with unbeaten conference leader Greensburg last Thursday and came up just short, 9-7.

Coach Bob Reynolds’ Trojans (8-3), who went on to sweep Saturday’s doubleheader at Jennings County, 4-2 and 8-2, rapped out 10 hits to the 10-0 Pirates’ 11 Thursday.

EC, which slipped to 1-2 in Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play, took a 4-0 lead over the hosts in the top of the fourth inning, but the fun was just starting.
