Lawrenceburg School Corporation board hired Joe Vogelgesang as its new athletic director.

Vogelsang also will be teaching two periods of physical education in addition to his AD duties.

Vogelgesang is currently the varsity baseball coach. 

Also named at the board's special meeting Monday, April 30, was LHS grad John Blackwell as varsity boys basketball coach and Greendale Middle School math teacher.

Blackwell has most recently been an assistant basketball coach at Brownsburg High School.
