ST. LEON – No. 4-ranked (Class 3A) Greensburg cleared the deck toward the conference baseball title with an 8-3 win at East Central Monday night.

Now 18-1 overall (8-1 Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference), coach Scott Holdsworth's Pirates led 2-0 early, fell behind 3-2 in the third and rallied back for a big five-run fourth.

EC's Trojans absorbed their third league loss to fall to 6-3 in the EIAC, 16-7 overall. Former co-leader Lawrenceburg lost 12-5 at Franklin County Monday to also drop to 6-3 (17-6 overall).
