GREENDALE – Greendale's 18th annual Dan Schuler Memorial 4th of July 5K Run/Walk is set for a 9 a.m. start at Greendale Park on Independence Day morning.

Pre-registered mail-in entries must be postmarked by Friday, June 22. On-line registration is available at official timer Don Connolly's web site, www.racedmc.com.

Entry fees for those registered in advance are $20, including an official race t-shirt, or $15 for entry only. Registration is $10 for all runners and walkers ages 12 and under.

Race day registration, which opens at 7:30 a.m. behind Greendale pool, is $18. T-shirts will be available for $10 on race day, while supplies last.

Awards will be given to the overall male and female 5K run and walk winners and the first through third-place finishers in all age divisions.

5K run and walk age divisions, for both male and female participants, include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 and over.

Refreshments will be available and prizes will be awarded after the race. Partcipants must be present to win.

The race will be electonically chip-timed for the first time this year. Results will be posted on-line soon after the race at www.racedmc.com.
