In conjunction with the fourth annual 2012 Rising Sun Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts, local and area artists, non-profit organizations, and food vendors are invited to participate. The event will take place along the Ohio River and in historic downtown Rising Sun.

Held on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the festival showcases nearly 50 juried fine artisans and craftspeople in various mediums from across the U.S. Artisans will be competing for over $8,000 in awards.

A call for vendors is being announced for a separate area of booth space available to non-juried artists, food vendors, and non-profit organizations. A fee of $50 is required. Applicants are ineligible for prize money and must provide a professional display including a 10 foot by 10 foot tent or food cart. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Aug. 15.

Along with showcasing fine art and crafts along the scenic Ohio River waterfront and in the historic downtown district the event will have live entertainment and wine tastings.
