INDIANAPOLIS – Garrett Saunders became the third Indiana All-Star football player in South Dearborn High School history last Friday.

During a break in the action in his South All-Star squad's 16-7 victory over the North at Indianapolis North Central Stadium, he quickly dispelled notions that it was a cakewalk.

“We had one very intense week of practice,” said the 6'2”, 217-pound inside linebacker, headed for preferred walk-on status at Ball State next month.

If 2011 Dearborn County Defensive Player of the Year Saunders calls something intense, better believe it.
