Officer joins special crimes unit

Lawrenceburg Police Department Chief Gene Hunefeld has assigned LPD Officer Jacob Jump to the Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit.

Jump will serve primarily as an investigator in the area of drug trafficking enforcement.

“Officer Jump has been the reciepient of extensive traning in this area over the past two years and has shown great promise in this area of law enforcement. I am very excited about the future of this assignment,” said Hunefeld.

Officer Jump will be a great assest to the Special Crimes Unit,” said Tom McKay, director of the Special Crimes Unit.

“Chief Hunefeld and the Lawrenceburg Police Department continue to demonstrate their commitment to addressing the needs of our community by increasing resources to investigate drug trafficking in our area. Their efforts will keep Lawrenceburg and Dearborn County a safe place to live and raise a family,” said Aaron Negangard, Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor.
