Veteran: trip ‘most moving experience ever’

Editor:
I wanted to share a few words with the public.
I just got back from a trip to Washington DC a few weeks ago with some of the Southeast Indiana Veterans.
I went up with Brett Bondurant, who put the wreath on the tomb of the unknown soldier. We toured D.C. and seen a lot of war monuments.
I can tell you it was, one of the most moving and emotional experiences I  have ever had. Having people and kids come up and shake your hand and thanking you for serving for their country really made me feel good. Need to see more of this for all veterans.
I always had the most respect for our men and women who served for our great country and even more now, especially for the families of the ones who paid the ultimate price to preserve our freedom.
Remember freedom is not free. Would like to thank the mayor and city council of Lawrenceburg for sponsoring the trip.
God Bless America.
