Do you know your neighbors?

That's the major goal of this year's National Night Out in Aurora said co-coordinator Aurora Police Officer Bill Halbig.

“What I really want is people to get out and meet their neighbors, exchange numbers, know who they are,” said Halbig.

Aurora's Night Out, its third, will be a block party on Main Street between Third and Second streets from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7. The street will be closed to traffic that evening. Aurora Officer Lorraine Ogus is helping organize the event.
