After a brief presentation to Lawrenceburg City Council Monday, Aug. 6, the City of Aurora was awarded a $4.5 million grant to build a new sewer main from Aurora to the South Dearborn Regional Sewer District treatment facility in Lawrenceburg.

Aurora has been under an agreed order from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management for several years to correct sewer overflows into the Ohio River.
