| Dillsboro hopes to collar K-9 funds |

If Dillsboro police can raise the funds, the department may join others in Dearborn County which have K-9 units. Dillsboro Town Council voted unanimously Monday, Aug. 13, to support the effort, and to include $1,500 in the town's general fund budget for the dog's maintenance, beginning in 2014. The department's goal is raise the needed $10,000 to $13,000 and acquire a dog by fall 2013, said Dillsboro Police Chief Ryan Fields.To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
