AURORA – At 7-3 with a second-place conference finish a year ago, South Dearborn football continued to climb the ladder in its fourth year under head coach Eric Lows. Expected to step down from his gridiron post in the off-season, due to time demands of his new job as elementary school principal, Lows actually did so. Only to return in March when all involved saw it to be in the best interests of the school and the program. The question remains: Can Knights football recapture the momentum it built in four previous years under Coach Lows (20-21 overall) following that brief spell in limbo? “I'm real excited to be back working with the kids,” said Lows, who wasn't really gone at all. “We had to get things up and running again pretty quickly in April, but we got it knocked out fairly fast.
