BLOOMINGTON – The 0-0 championship match tie Saturday night was an anticlimax. But East Central girls soccer (6-1-1) played well enough in its two previous matches that it had already clinched the eight-team Hoosier Cup tournament championship for the second time in school history. “I think the girls got a good glimpse of what we could be in Friday night's match (a 4-1 victory over perennial power Evansville Mater Dei),” said EC head coach Jim Lockwood. “They played very well and showed a lot of energy.
