On Wednesday, Sept. 26,  Greendale Police released information regarding a quick change artist at Ameristop.

Now a Lawrenceburg man has been arrested for the alleged crime.

Bryan K. Peters,  46, of Lawrenceburg, has been arrested for theft, said Greendale Police Sgt. Kevin Turner.

Greendale Police had released photos taken from surveillance of the suspect, asking for helping with identifying the person.

On Friday, Oct. 19,  Turner received information from the Indiana State Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s Department that they had in custody a person that may be connected to the incident at Ameristop.

Following interviews and comparison of photographs with the surveillance video from Ameristop, a warrant was issued in connection of this case for the arrest of Peters, said Turner.

Cooperation and information sharing between law enforcement agencies and the publication of the case by Eagle Radio and Register Publications were key in solving this crime, said Turner.
