WILMINGTON – South Dearborn girls basketball – which faces another three-game, five-day opening challenge again, starting Friday night – has a veteran starting five as good as nearly any in the area. Back for coach Bob Bressert's 13th season atop Wilmington Hill are senior daughter Morgan Bressert (4.2 ppg, 88 rebounds last season), a 5'9” swing player, along with athletic 5'10” junior Ellen Barrett (11.1 ppg, 78 rebounds), SD's leading scorer. Experienced juniors in the other three starting spots include playmaking point guard MorganWolfer (2.5 ppg, 21 assists), with capable twin 5'11” forward/center types Emily Townsend (5.0 ppg, 71 rebounds) and Kooper Vertz (3.0 ppg, 48 rebounds).
