LAWRENCEBURG – Lawrenceburg High School will host two early events to fire up students and fans for the football Tigers' Class 2A football sectional game Saturday. Coach Ryan Knigga's 10th-ranked Tigers (11-1) will take on No. 2 Evansville Mater Dei (10-2), state runner-up last year, in the regional playoff game Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Dick Meador Stadium/Neary Memorial Field. Gates open at 1 p.m. for game day ticket sales. Tickets for all ages, except preschool, are priced at $7 by IHSAA rules. All-sports passes are not valid for state tournament games. LHS will start to stir up school spirit beginning with a student pep rally at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Bud Bateman Gym.
