ST. LEON – This could be the year they’ve been waiting for in East Central girls basketball. It’s not that the Lady Trojans, under the steady guidance of fifth-year head coach Kevin Moore (33-29), are going to be considered a favorite to knock off defending state runner-up Columbus North in their Class 4A sectional. But, coming off an 11-10 campaign that included its first Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference title share in 14 years (9-1 co-champion with Franklin County), EC should be among the area’s top teams.
