| Aurora to talk trash Wednesday |

Aurora City Council will consider bids for garbage collection and curbside recycling at a special meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, said Aurora Clerk-treasurer Randy Turner. Three bids were received at the Aurora Utility Board meeting Monday, Nov. 5, including from the city's current waste collection contractor Rumpke, Inc. The utility board consists of city council members. The bids were for a five-year contract. City council has discussed billing residents $8 per month to cover part of the cost of weekly garbage collection, and that also will be on the agenda Wednesday.To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
