| Top-level S-D teachers get 1% raise |

The 2012-2013 master teachers contract approved by the Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools Corporation Board at its November meeting call for buying out teachers' accumulated sick days over 90 each year. “Anytime a school district has accumulated days, that's a liability … not funded,” said S-D Director of Finances Charles Blake. The board then approved a resolution to use up to $160,400 from the Rainy Day Fund to purchase those sick days.
