Tiger spikers continue to win consistently

LAWRENCEBURG – Ask anyone who ever coached a varsity sport. Winning is tough. Winning on a consistent basis is light years harder.
That’s exactly what’s transpired over the last 11 seasons in Lawrenceburg volleyball. Coach Staci Knigga’s Lady Tiger spikers just completed their ninth 20-win season over that time span. In one of those two missing years, LHS finished with 19 victories.

When the leadership nucleus of your team graduates every year, attention must be paid to finding the right mix of seasoned veterans and young talent – while keeping it all on the upbeat.

“Last year (a 28-7 Tiger finish) we graduated a big senior class of five players,” said Knigga, now 263-110 overall. “We were lucky enough to have a good mix of experienced players back, along with some new faces on varsity.
