Indiana Conservation Officers Brad Reinholt and Cpl. Chris Powell are investigating a tree stand accident that occurred Saturday evening, Nov. 17.

Aaron Watson, 41, Moores Hill, was deer hunting on private property when he fell approximately 30 feet from his tree stand.  Watson was not wearing a safety harness. He sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital.

Indiana Conservation Officers want to remind hunters not to hunt from an elevated stand unless they are wearing a safety harness. Falls from tree stands continue to be the number one accident during hunting, and the injuries sustained are often life changing if not fatal.
