Indiana Conservation Officer David Taylor is investigating an ATV accident that occurred in Moores Hill, over the weekend.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department initially responded to the accident and is working with Taylor in the investigation. Michael Langdon, 40, and Emily Langdon, 11, were injured when the two ATVs they were riding collided.
Michael Langdon and Emily, his niece, were riding on their family’s property when they crested a hill from opposite directions and collided head-on. Michael was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital where he was held for observation. Emily was transported to Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati and placed in the ICU for observation.
The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. Initial reports indicate that both were wearing helmets.
Indiana Conservation Officers want to remind the public that ATVs can be dangerous to operate and that protective clothing and helmet should always be worn.
