AURORA – After posting a 1-2 mark in its tough three-game road swing to open the season, South Dearborn girls basketball faced its home opener Saturday.

Results were mixed in a 35-28 Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference loss to Batesville (2-1, 1-0 EIAC).

Now 1-4 overall and 1-1 in league play, coach Bob Bressert’s Lady Knights came into the contest with junior forward Kooper Vertz benched by an injury.
