INDIANAPOLIS – Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers tied a state record with its fourth consecutive Class 2A football state title, knocking off previously unbeaten and No. 1-ranked Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter 40-28 Friday. Highlighting action on the first of two days of IHSAA class division gridiron finals at Lucas Oil Stadium, Luers’ Knights (11-4), matched Class A state champion Lafayette Central Catholic – which defeated Indy Scecina 14-0 earlier Friday for its fourth consecutive state crown.
