Chelsea Gentry's next trip overseas won't be quite like her last.

Last May the Hanover College student went to Italy, her first trip out of the United States.

“Being the minority, being an American” in a crowd of Italians “was an eye opener,” said Gentry, Aurora. She spent a month on what she calls “a great experience.”

But this trip to Haiti in December will be different, a week spent in service. She will be in a group of 14 or 15 Hanover College students offering their services to BOSKO, a group that runs an orphanage in Haiti. The students will do “anything and everything those people need us to do,” said Gentry.
