Three Certificates of Appropriateness were approved by the Aurora Historic Preservation Commission in November.

Wayne House was given an “open COA” for 313 Fourth St. A COA is required for exterior work to buildings in the Aurora Downtown Historic District, especially regarding changes visible from the public right of way.

House will be doing repairs and work to stabilize the structure, “really to just seal the structure for the winter,” said Indiana Landmarks Southeast Field Officer Director Seth Elder. The city contracts with IL for Elder's services as a consultant.
