LAWRENCEBURG – A tougher opening night assignment hardly could have been possible for Lawrenceburg boys basketball, which took it on the chin, 79-47, from No. 1-ranked conference leader Greensburg Friday. But former Tiger John Blackwell’s head coaching debut weekend evened itself out with a 67-48 home victory over Milan Saturday. “I think we’re going to be fine,” said the new LHS mentor, whose team fell behind the 4-0 Pirates (3-0 Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference) 17-4 in the first four minutes Friday. “We’re probably not as bad as we looked Friday night. And we’re probably not as good as we looked Saturday. The reality is somewhere in between.
