LAWRENCEBURG – Girls swimmers from Southwestern (Hanover) and Harrison, Ohio's boys swim team captured Lawrenceburg Swimming Invitational titles Saturday. Southwestern's Lady Rebels edged Harrison 309-306 for the girls championship, with Lawrenceburg's Lady Tigers fourth (142.5) among a field of eight teams. Harrison boys were a 230-210 winner over Southwestern, with the host Tigers seventh (113). Coach Ann Alexander's Lawrenceburg crew still called it a good day, led by a first-place finish from Bryanna Nixon in 100-yard backstroke in a personal record time of 1:11.68.
