CINCINNATI – Lawrenceburg's 10th-ranked Class 2A sectional champion Tigers, 11-2 in their second year under coach Ryan Knigga, added another major postseason honor Wednesday.

Knigga was informed by TSF director of operations Greg Shoemaker via e-mail that the Tigers have been named Indiana Team of the Year for 2012 by the TriStateFootball.com web site.

Lawrenceburg will be formally honored at TSF's awards banquet, tentatively scheduled for Jan. 21, 2013, at the new Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant in Florence, Ky.

LHS senior runningback Chad Banschbach was TSF's Indiana Offensive Player of the Year in 2011.
