Neighboring counties can continue to count on the ability to fund economic development with help from the City of Lawrenceburg.

An ordinance re-establishing the 10-County Grant Program finally passed Lawrenceburg City Council Monday, Nov. 26, after more than a month of debate and changes.

Hashing out differences and compromising were part of the six-week process, which began in mid-October.There are several differences in the ordinance passed vs. the ordinance originally proposed.

The final ordinance gives city council the final say-so on grants recommended by the grant review committee.

The ordinance also gives city council an appointment to the review committee.
