ST. LEON – East Central boys basketball had a good game plan heading into Friday’s matchup with No. 1-ranked Greensburg.

Playing a tight zone defense and a patient, slashing offense, Trojans (1-3, 1-1 EIAC) held the unbeaten Pirates (5-0., 4-0 Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference) to a season-low 54 points.

Unfortunately, what had been a close game for the first half – EC trailed 16-11 and 24-19 at the first two quarter stops – got away from the hosts thereafter for a handy 54-36 Greensburg victory.
