| Moores Hill gets grant, talks softball |

The Moores Hill Veterans Memorial Park should sport restrooms, a gazebo and other amenities by fall 2013, thanks to a $77,715 grant. In announcing the award at the December Moores Hill Council meeting, clerk-treasurer Guinevere Emery said the grant will fund those items as well as a walking trail, park benches, trash receptacles, bicycle rack, water fountain, grill and concrete planters. Awarded through the Dearborn Community Foundation, the funds come from the Lawrenceburg Community Grant Program Phase 2. In other business, council, approved initial efforts toward a summer ball program, heard a report on the Moores Hill Heritage Festival, and handled some financial matters.To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
