BROOKVILLE – Lawrenceburg boys basketball coach John Blackwell said it best himself: “We have no margin for error right now.”
Now 1-4 and 0-4 in Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play, Tigers made plenty of them in dropping their third-straight league game, 59-52, at Franklin County.
Digging themselves a deep hole in the EIAC cellar, Tigers shot poorly (35 percent, including 3-18 three-pointers), missed a ton of free throws (11 in the second quarter alone) and turned the ball over 22 times (13 second half) against the Wildcats (2-3, 1-2).
“To put it squarely on any one thing is to miss the overall picture,” said Blackwell. “We didn't play well, offensively or defensively. Nobody misses free throws on purpose. Our defense was terrible in the first quarter and we had too many lapses all night.
