ST. LEON – East Central girls basketball hit 10 three-point shots to set several new school records in Thursday night's 59-44 win over South Dearborn.

Coach Kevin Moore's Lady Trojans marked the halfway point of their Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference schedule with a perfect 5-0 mark, moving to 8-1 overall with the 15-point victory.

Coming in with a 5-1 record in the previous six meetings with SD's Lady Knights (now 3-5, 1-3 EIAC), EC expected the kind of close game most of those had been.

Injuries to junior forward Brooke Packer (ankle) and post backup Nicole Sandmann left the Trojans shorthanded, adding to East Central's worries.
