Here's a riddle: would a K-9 without a canine be OK? Veterinarians consulted by Dillsboro police were of varying opinions after Dillsboro's new K-9 Chevy broke a canine tooth. So at its December meeting Dillsboro Town Council approved spending $649 for a root canal and filling for the dog. Dillsboro Police Chief Ryan Brandt said one veterinarian said the tooth would be fine, another said to pull it, and a third said pulling it would cause dental problems.
