ST. LEON – When a basketball team has a bad shooting game, the cliches start to pile up. That’s to say, East Central girls basketball absorbed its second loss in 11 games this season, 41-36 to Harrison (Ohio) last Wednesday because: a) The Lady Trojans (9-2) couldn’t throw it in the ocean, hitting just 15 of an increasingly desperate 55 field goal attempts (27.2 percent). b) They shot like there was a lid on the basket, connecting on just three of 17 three point tries (17.6 percent). c) EC varsity couldn’t hit sand from the back of a camel from the free throw line, either, sinking an appalling three of 14 foul shots.
