MADISON – Ricky Brown's weight class championship keyed a solid performance by East Central wrestlers in the 11-team Cub Classic meet Dec. 28-29.

Brown, a senior, moved his season mark to 27-1 overall with a perfect 10-0 run to the heavyweight (285-pound) division title.

Ranked No. 7 in the state coaches' poll earlier this season, Brown also highlighted the Trojans' fourth-place team finish with the individual match win of the day. He defeated 10th-ranked heavyweight Gavin Jolley-Little of Jeffersonville in head-to-head competition.
