HARRISON, Ohio – East Central girls basketball achieved a doubly satisfying Harrison Holiday Tournament championship Saturday, Dec. 29. Now 11-2, Lady Trojans had to take a little extra pride in the fact that Saturday night’s 58-34 title game victory over the host Wildcats avenged that ugly 41-36 home loss to Harrison Dec. 20. “We played really well on both nights, with considerably improved shooting from the field and the free throw line,” said EC coach Kevin Moore, whose varsity crew outlasted Cincinnati Seton 47-41 in first-round action last Friday. “It was a great experience and test for the team,” Moore continued. “Both opponents offered different personnel challenges, but the kids met those challenges and played hard for 32 minutes and earned two victories.” To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
