LAWRENCEBURG - Fourteen Racesaver 305 winged sprint cars showed up to do battle for the first time Saturday night at Lawrenceburg Speedway.

ST. LEON – East Central junior kick Nick Stidham kicked a 19-yard field goal with 43.8 seconds left to win back the I-74 Border Rivalry trophy from Harrison, 24-23 Friday.

Freshman Makenna White (20) scored the game-winning goal for No. 1 ranked Lawrenceburg girls soccer in their first home match on the new home turf at Meador Stadium Saturday, Aug. 22, 3-2 over Columbus North.

The seasoned tow-boat pilot has volunteered for the job the past four years. The 325 is the only LST in the world that operates on its on power. It was used to ship tanks and other large vehicles during World War II. Its homeport is in Jeffersonville, Ind.

When the historic World War II LST-325 is safely docked in Cincinnati for a visual history lesson in mid-September, you should salute Moores Hill resident Capt. Corky Bennett.
