NEW PALESTINE – East Central senior wrestlers Ricky Brown and Brian Struewing won weight class titles in the eight-team New Palestine Invitational last Saturday.

Both top-seeded Trojans came through against a strong field of competitors in the tournament-style event. East Central finished fourth as a team, with 168 points.

Brown, ranked No. 13 in the state coaches' poll in the 220-pound division, demonstrated his dominance with three consecutive pins. He moved his individual season tally to 30-1.

Struewing (24-6) matched Brown's three-pin performance to lock down the weight class championship in the 120-pound category.
