COLUMBUS, Ind. - East Central girls basketball coach Kevin Moore said it in a nutshell after his team's 64-42 loss at top-ranked Class 4A sectional rival Columbus North Tuesday: “To beat the No. 1 team in the state, and a national ly-ranked team, you have to play hard and smart for 32 minutes of basketball. While we played hard for 32 minutes, we had little spells in the game where our decision making wasn’t very good. And it cost us.” Lady Trojans fell to 11-3 with the 22-point loss to the unbeaten (17-0) Bull Dogs of coach Pat McKee, last year's 4A state runner-up to Indianapolis North Central, which returned nearly everybody this season.To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
