Columbus Area Arts Council announces the deadline for the 2013–2014 grant cycle for the Indiana Arts Commission’s Regional Initiative Grants. Any organization applying for funding in the Arts
Project Support/Mini Grants and Arts Organization Support categories
must submit an electronic application to the Indiana Arts Commission by
March 1. On Jan. 16, all grant application guidelines will be
available for download from the Arts Council’s website
(www.artsincolumbus.org). Anyone needing assistance with the application
process should contact Region 9 Regional Services Director, Jeff Kuehl,
at 812-376-2535 orjkuehl@artsincolumbus.org. To aid arts organizations in the grant application process, a public information session will be scheduled in Dearborn County later this month. These
sessions are open to any non-profit organization, municipality, or
school that is planning arts-related activities for the upcoming fiscal
year. The Indiana Arts Commission established the Regional Partnership Initiative in 1995 to better provide arts services to the residents of Indiana. The Columbus
Area Arts Council is the Regional Arts Partner for the southeastern
Indiana region, which covers Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin,
Jackson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties. In addition to
providing funds, the Regional Partnership also provides technical
assistance to organizations and artists in the region. The Columbus Area Arts Council is a public, not-for-profit corporation supported by private donations, the City of Columbus, the State of Indiana through the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts. |
